GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Key Holder is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store and overall customer experience.  Key responsibilities include people leadership, store operations, customer service, financial management, inventory control, donation processing, training and development of store team members and opening and closing the store.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Assists management with operating a profitable thrift store.
  • Promotes good housekeeping, security and safety in all areas.
  • Ensures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
  • Assists management with controlling shrinkage, expenses and payroll.
  • Assures that production goals are met, responsible for the quality and quantity of textile and hard goods product if   produced.  Research incoming items and assign appropriate price point.
  • Assists management with ensuring appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise displays and presentation, signing, and assortment in all departments, ensures sales floor is adequately stocked ensures that stock rotations and scheduled mark downs and implemented as per procedure. 
  • Assists management with ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.
  • Keeps immediate superior promptly and sully informed and all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action with may be taken. Documenting as needed.
  • Assists management with employee performance reviews by giving input on employee performance as observed during periods of supervision.
  • Assists management with identifying maintenance concerns and completing work orders as needed.
  • Performs cashier, sales floor, and processor duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • On-year work experience in Retail Management required
  • One-year customer service experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, vehicle and meet agency liability insurance requirements.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position. 

ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  •  Frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  •  Occasionally required to sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb.
  •  Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  •  Moderate twisting, bending and stooping and lifting up to 40 pounds in the performance of assigned duties.
  •  Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required.
  •  Repeated hand-wrist movement required.
